“Britney Spears video features gold-fumed glass
bracelet”"Although pop idol Britney Spears’s ill-fated trip to the
alter in Vegas last January might have focused attention on her
ring finger, she chose much more wisely when recently adorning
her wrist. Spears wore one of jewelry dsesigner Molly Jackson’s
24-karat gold-fumed glass bracelets in the video for one of her
recent singles, “Toxic.” Through a mutual acquaintance{ New
York nightlife fixture Sophia Lamar}, the young artist was
introduced to Spear’s fashion stylists, known simply as “Kurt and
Bart.” The singly named artistes thought Jackson’s fluid, modern
Pyrex pieces would be perfect for the “futuristic stewardess”
theme of Spears’s “Toxic” video. Indeed, Spears shows off the
bracelet in the lengthy opening shot. This is by no means
Jackson’s first brush with celebrity: she designed custom
jewelry for the fashion label Heatherette’s 2003 fasion shows in
New York and Osaka,Japan, and her pieces are also featured in
March Italian Vogue.”
