SHIPPING

  • Domestic:

    All packages within the continental USA can be sent Priority mail through the United States Post Office{USPO}$7.00 per order/$3.00 per item, Federal Express Ground or UPS Ground $10.00 per order/$3.00 per item.

  • International:

    International orders can be placed and sent. An initial shipping cost of $50.00 will be charged and actual shipping costs will be figured with consideration for shipping address and method. If necessary, additional costs will be charged before order is sent. Packages are sent from Massachusetts, USA. Please email mdj@mollyjackson.com with questions.

  • Shipping Time:

    We can usually ship orders within 5-10 business days after email confirmation {The order and company policies will be confirmed via email} and payment is received {Items ordered will be made after payment-in-full has been received}. You will be notified of shipping time, which may vary due to the fact that we are a small company, everything is custom/hand-made to order and our production schedule is constantly changing.

  • We do NOT accept returns due to each item being custom made to order.

    Payments will not be refunded.

    All sales are final on all items.

    About Glass & Lacquerite Pieces

  • ” These pieces are wearable art and I wear mine everyday. They should not chip, break or shatter from everyday use. With avoiding any stress or trauma to these precious pieces – which are made with love, skill and durable glass – they should endure a long happy life with you. XOXO! Molly”

    • Common examples of “stress or trauma”: Avoid dropping your glass on any surface. Dropping glass will almost always result in breakage. Also avoid keeping or taking your glass jewelry off in the bathroom, as most bathrooms have hard counters and flooring.

  • Care of glass: Glass can be cleaned best with hot water and soap. Please be cautious while cleaning this way as dropping the glass in the sink may result in breakage. A household glass cleaner and a soft cloth may also be used. It is best to store/protect glass jewelry in a box of its own while not being worn.
  • Care of Lacquerite: Avoid exposure to high heat {hot cars, radiators, direct sunlight…}. If your Lacquerite should become misshapen, please contact us at mdj@MollyJackson.com for possible repair. Lacquerite can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
  • The colors, shapes and sizes of the pieces shown on this site are representational. Due to the organic, hand-shaped nature of the production process some slight variations will occur making each piece individual.
  • The glass pieces are made by manipulating Pyrex/Borosilicate glass in a flame that comes from an oxygen-propane bench torch. The art is known as Flameworking. The glass is melted to a working temperature of around 2000 degrees Fahrenheit and hand-shaped in the flame. Each piece is finished by being hand stamped with the MDJ logo. The finished piece is annealed in a kiln, relieving any stress from the forming, working process and ultimately making the piece more durable.
  • Flameworking is a rhapsody of the natural and the scientific- from sand to glass, gasses to the torch fire, intuition to fine tuned skills.

    Molly says what she loves most is “the glass thriving in the flame and the fluid lines of each finished piece. The glass comes alive – dancing between the force of gravity and the whim of the hand. It surrenders its will to me and I shape it in the 2000 degree flame. The material emerges, a design as individual as the person it will adorn.”

    Because light and color flow through the glass, it presents a delicate appearance. However, borosilicate glass (PYREX brand) was adopted from the scientific laboratories by flameworkers for its strength and durability.

  • Please note that even though these pieces are strong, durable,thick Pyrex/Borosilicate glass, they are glass and ANY glass CAN break. The seller, MDJ/MollyJackson, will assume no liability for any possible breakage or any possible injury that may result from breakage.
